What Monitor-Only actually watches
Monitor-Only is $29/mo for 1 store. Live features from PRICING_TIERS: Weekly Meta + Shopify monitor; Break alerts by email; No fix snippets; No PDF reports. That is the SKU — we do not invent extra stores, a deeper crawler, or a silent snippet library on this tier.
One store. The cap is real. Need more? Starter is $99/mo for 3 stores with paste-ready snippets. Agency is $149/mo for 15 stores plus PDF reports. Contrast only; this page sells Monitor-Only.
Weekly Meta + Shopify monitor. Same fetchStorefrontHtml() + scanHtml() pair as the free scan. Paid does not secretly switch to checkout X-ray or Ads Manager. How the scan works lives on the methodology.
Break alerts by email. When storefront findings change after a theme, consent, campaign, or loader change, we email you. An alert is a delta notice — not a fix we applied, and not proof a Purchase event fired.
No fix snippets. No PDF reports. Those ship on Starter and Agency for detectable storefront findings. Monitor-Only watches. You still paste and verify if you upgrade.
Monitor vs the free one-shot scan
A free scan is one public page, one result, then you leave. Paid Monitor stores the snapshot and re-runs that same storefront presence scan on a recurring schedule, then emails when findings change. Marketing copy calls this a weekly monitor; the contract is recurring + alert, not a promise that we walked checkout or Ads Manager overnight.
The free scan does not log into Shopify admin or Meta Events Manager, does not open checkout, and does not prove events fired — only that a loader signature was (or was not) present in that HTML. Monitor inherits those limits. Recurrence is the product, not a different scanner. Limits and refunds are spelled out on the FAQ.
Soft limit, trial, and cancel honesty
Free scans are a soft paywall, not a brick wall. This browser gets 3 free scans, plus 2 more if you leave an email, then a ~24-hour cooldown. When the budget is used we ask you to start Monitor-Only or come back later. We do not hard-lock the product, invent remaining seats, or call the next scan “premium locked.” If localStorage is missing (private mode), the gate fails open so you can still scan. The standalone free-scan page also uses a short-lived session cookie (one scan per hour) as a separate abuse control — still not a paywall brick.
Checkout attaches a 7-day trial on Monitor-Only. Cancel before day 8 and you should not be charged — see Account → Subscription. After a paid month starts, Terms 3.4 is the refund policy. Soft-paywall free scans keep working after you cancel — they were never a paid entitlement. No retention maze and no phone call required.

Is the free-scan limit a hard lock?
No. PixelProof uses a soft paywall: this browser gets a small number of free scans (3, plus 2 more if you leave an email), then a nudge toward Monitor-Only at $29/mo. After about 24 hours the free budget can reset. If localStorage is unavailable (private mode, blocked storage), the gate fails open — we do not brick the scanner. The /meta-monitor/free-scan landing also rate-limits to one scan per hour per session cookie. None of that is fake scarcity or a “locked premium” wall.
How much does Monitor-Only cost versus Agency?
Monitor-Only is $29/mo for one store: recurring storefront monitoring and email break alerts. No fix snippets, no PDF reports. Agency is $149/mo for up to 15 stores under one bill, with the same detect/monitor job plus paste-ready snippets for detectable storefront findings and PDF reports. Starter sits in the middle at $99/mo for up to 3 stores with snippets. Annual billing is 25% off (Monitor-Only $261/yr, Starter $891/yr, Agency $1,341/yr). Is there a free trial or a refund?
Checkout currently attaches a 7-day trial on paid plans (including Monitor-Only). Cancel before day 8 and you should not be charged — see Account → Subscription. After a paid month starts, Terms 3.4 is the refund policy: a first-month refund window if the product does not earn its keep, and a 60-day pro-rated window on annual charges. Are you listed on the Shopify App Store or Built for Shopify?
No. PixelProof is a web scanner and scheduled monitor. We do not claim Shopify App Store listing, Built for Shopify, official partner status, or a public install/review count. If that badge matters for procurement, we are the wrong checkbox — and we would rather say so than fake it.
How do I get support?
Email support@pixeluptime.com. That is the only support inbox. There is no in-app chat team and no Shopify App Store review thread. We are a small company: expect a human reply, not a 24/7 SLA.
